Radio ABF: A New Chapter, the Same Passion
October 7, 2026 — Official Statement from the Founder
Following a period of significant change, Radio ABF is moving forward with a renewed international DJ team, an expanded programme schedule and a clear ambition: to put music and people at the heart of its future.
Since its beginnings in 1999, Radio ABF — Alternative Bass Fréquence — has experienced several chapters in its history.
Originally conceived as a community radio project, it became an internet radio station in the early 2000s before returning in 2026 with a renewed international identity, an ambitious electronic music schedule and the progressive development of ABF Network.
September marked a particularly challenging period. The departure of a significant part of our DJ team required us to rethink our programming and organisation.
Rather than revisiting those events, we chose to focus on what comes next.
We remain grateful to everyone who has contributed to Radio ABF throughout its history.
A New International Team
In just a few weeks, ABF Club has welcomed new artists from Europe, the Americas, Asia and Oceania.
Our international line-up now includes artists such as HARLEYINTHEMIX from the United Kingdom, ØCËE — originally from Croatia and now based in Sydney, Australia — DJ MAANU from India, CHRISTIAN VALLEJO from Argentina, BASTIQ from the Netherlands, BIL BV from Spain, MC MARIO and JEAN-PIERRE IMBEAU from Canada and NOBUX from Japan, alongside other established and emerging residents.
These DJs represent different generations, cultures and musical backgrounds, bringing together House, Techno, Trance, Melodic sounds and electronic music influences from around the world.
Beyond the shows themselves, new relationships and collaborations are already beginning to emerge.
Several residents are spontaneously sharing their broadcasts, introducing Radio ABF to their own communities and contributing to the development of new projects.
Recent broadcasts have also brought encouraging moments of interaction, with listeners sending messages of support, sharing shout-outs and joining us from different parts of the world.
These exchanges, sometimes between DJs and listeners discovering the station for the first time, are helping create a genuine sense of connection beyond the music itself.
For an independent station, these moments are especially meaningful.
They reflect the beginning of something we have always valued: a genuine community built around music.
ABF Club Continues to Evolve
ABF Club remains at the centre of our evening and weekend DJ programming.
Its themed nights bring together international residents and guest artists across a wide range of electronic music styles.
New concepts are enriching this identity, including BLOCK 31, dedicated to Eastern European electronic music, alongside MADE IN CANADA and MADE IN JAPAN.
These developments reflect our commitment to showcasing diverse electronic music cultures and creating opportunities for artists from different backgrounds.
With a growing international line-up and an evolving schedule, ABF Club aims to offer more than a collection of individual DJ sets: a shared musical experience connecting artists and audiences across borders.

A Stronger Infrastructure and Identity
Alongside this rebuilding process, Radio ABF has continued to invest in its technical and editorial development.
Our broadcasting infrastructure has been strengthened, our website improved and our on-air identity enhanced with new jingles and promotional features.
Our CHR Dance programming continues to combine new releases, discoveries, essential tracks and classics.
The station remains available worldwide in multiple audio qualities, including lossless UHD FLAC, with particular attention to audio processing and listening quality.
Radio ABF also maintains its commitment to advertising-free broadcasting.
No advertising. Music first.
Meanwhile, ABF 2, our second station dedicated to Pop, Rock and Alternative music, and the ongoing development of ABF TV are now united under ABF NETWORK.
Three media. Three identities. One independent network.
Growing Visibility
Radio ABF is beginning to appear in new international radio directories, while content shared by our DJs is helping introduce the station to new communities.
Our audience remains modest, but our goal is not simply to pursue numbers.
We want to build a genuine relationship with listeners through consistent programming, sound quality, musical discovery and trust.
The first signs of this engagement are already visible through listener messages, spontaneous support for our residents and the enthusiasm of communities discovering Radio ABF through their favourite DJs.
For an independent station, sustainable growth takes time.
We believe the foundations we are building today will help shape the future of Radio ABF.
Putting People Back at the Heart of Radio ABF
Beyond technical improvements and musical developments, the past few weeks have reinforced one essential belief.
A radio station is not defined solely by its servers, audio streams or programme schedule.
It exists because of the artists who bring it to life and the listeners who choose to tune in.
We want Radio ABF to remain an open environment where DJs from different countries, generations and cultures can connect, maintain their independence and share their passion.
Our ambition is not to reproduce the past, but to allow a new community to grow naturally.
A Personal Message from the Founder
"I would like to sincerely thank everyone who has contributed to Radio ABF since its creation, as well as the artists who have joined us over the past few weeks.
This period has reminded us just how important human relationships are in an independent project.
Seeing DJs spontaneously share their shows, bring their communities together and contribute to the station's development is particularly encouraging.
Our audience is still modest, and there is a great deal of work ahead. But we are moving forward with a renewed team, fresh ideas and the same passion that started it all.
We are not trying to recreate the past. We want to build a new story with those who genuinely want to be part of it.
Music brings us together. Our differences make us stronger. And people remain at the heart of everything we build.
Thank you, everyone."
